Why genuine matters
Matched to the battery. The Omni runs on a 14.4V lithium-ion battery pack, and the factory adaptor delivers exactly the voltage and current it's designed for. Generic barrel-plug chargers might physically fit, but the wrong output can slow-charge the battery at best — or damage it and void your warranty at worst.
Back to full charge overnight. A full charge takes around 6 hours and delivers 5–7 hours of continuous use, so plugging in after your evening session means the Omni is ready before your morning one.
